The “White Coat Ceremony” organized for first-year students of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Fırat University was held on February 17 at the university's Multipurpose Indoor Sports Hall, with the enthusiastic participation of students from the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. The ceremony, which marked an important milestone in the students' professional journey, was filled with emotional moments.
The program, attended by academics, students, and families, began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem. In the opening speeches, emphasis was placed on the contribution of the physical therapy profession to human health, and the importance of students growing up as individuals with a scientific perspective, committed to ethical values, and with a high sense of responsibility was expressed.
The most meaningful moment of the ceremony was when the students put on their lab coats. Invited to the stage one by one by the academics, the first-year students symbolically took their first steps in their professional education by putting on their white lab coats. Families applauded this proud moment, and the hall was filled with excitement and happiness.
