General Information
The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Master's Programme affiliated to the Institute of Health Sciences has started teaching as of the 2022-2023 academic year.
It aims to train specialist physiotherapists who plan and implement treatment approaches by using physiotherapy and rehabilitation-specific evaluation methods after the diagnosis of a specialist physician in the protection of health, all kinds of injuries that cause movement disorders, disability and old age, pain and dysfunctions, plan and implement treatment approaches, have important duties in increasing health and quality of life, and provide rehabilitation services aimed at protecting and maximising the physical function of the individual. To be a department that aims to continuously progress by providing the needs of today and the future with scientific studies, produces services and policies for the education of physiotherapists who play an important role in the development of public health, directs the health system with successful graduates and makes the physiotherapy and rehabilitation department more effective and leading in the field of health.
Programme objective: To train specialist physiotherapists who follow scientific and technological developments in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, gain advanced and deep knowledge, skills and attitudes in education, research and practice, integrate their knowledge with clinical and scientific studies, interpret the results, continue lifelong learning, contribute to educational programmes related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Programme objectives: In line with the aim of the programme, gaining the knowledge and skills to plan and conduct researches in the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation and to propose solutions to the results; to improve and develop the general condition of healthy or sick individuals and thus contribute to their quality of life.
Qualification Awarded: Graduates who successfully complete the programme are awarded a master's degree in the field of ‘Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation’.
